Here's a complete, old and original 1940s display card of WW II HONORABLE DISCHARGE EMBLEM pins. This came from the company that made them to be sold or given to those who served in the military. These are made of brass and have screw-on pinbacks. Card says...UNITED STATES HONORABLE DISCHARGE EMBLEM. These were affectionately called 'ruptured duck' pins. Card measures 4 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches. This old, original 1940's WW II souvenir pin is still on the original card. Made of Sterling Silver, these MINIATURE WINGS have the insignia of the NAVAL AVIATOR. They measure 1 5/8 inches across. Card says 'KEEP 'EM FLYING'. These came out of an old N.Y.C. Times Square souvenir store that sold these to the soldiers passing through during WW II. Unused near-mint condition.

This original circa late 1880's medal is from the Woman's Relief Corps, a post Civil War group who worked through local chapters to relieve the sufferings of disabled veterans, war widows, and orphans. In the North it functioned as an auxiliary of the Grand Army of the Republic. These groups helped with cemetery maintenance and the erection of war memorials.
