Here's a great treasure from a local estate. This antique hand-painted Nippon chocolate pot set consists of a chocolate pot with lid and 4 cups and saucers. Each piece is painted with a lovely scene...a house on a lake...a lush tree on the edge of the water. Colors are greens and browns on the shaded white china. The chocolate pot measures 8 1/4 inches high to top of finial by 8 inches across from spout to handle. The cups are 2 5/8 inches high by 3 inches across the top...

This pretty vintage butter dish by Royal Staffordshire was designed by the highly-collectible designer Clarice Cliff. Circa 1950, the dish combines black and white flowers with an English Manor scene. There are a couple of very minor glaze pops on the underside and overall age crazing. This piece has a hand-shaped form...note the uneven bump on one side. Overall, dish is in excellent condition...no chips or cracks.
