Vintage c1940 Fur Hat and Muff Set

You can just imagine this genuine fur hat and muff riding in a sleigh a la Dr. Zhivago. Works just as well in Aspen, Vermont, or at a local football game because this set is warm and lovely anywhere it's worn. The fur is genuine mouton...a rich brown chocolate color...so buttery-soft you can't stop petting it. The hat size is for a small woman or an older girl. Hat measures 21 inches around the inner band by 4 inches high. The muff keeps hands cozy warm. Measures 11 inches across...fits (up to) an average woman's hands. Inside is lined in a brown satin fabric. Hat is lined in brown grosgrain fabric. Both pieces are in excellent condition. (I recently saw similar fur hat and muff sets featured in a big designer children's fashion show in New York. Here's the real thing that probably inspired the new versions.)
