Huge Vendome Asian Bakelite Faux Jade Pin

It's big!...2 7/8 by 3 1/2 inches. This vintage signed VENDOME pin is Asian-inspired and very impressive. The goldtone openwork frame holds a carved-through piece of faux jade that's actually genuine Bakelite. The pin on the back was either added, repaired or manufactured with silver solder but in any case, the pin is secure with a safety-catch closure. (I mention this for accuracy...it doesn't detract at all from the pin.) This Vendome piece conjures up the exotic Far East...it's a great big vintage costume brooch that looks like the real thing.
