Vintage ORIGINAL BY ROBERT Jelly Belly Owl Pin Brooch

Here's a magnificent pin marked ORIGINAL BY ROBERT. It's a big owl with a hand-painted black and white enameled head and a huge black stone jelly belly. The bezel is gold-plated. Back has the oval logo cartouche and a secure rollover clasp. Pin measures 1 1/4 by 2 3/4 inches. It's in excellent condition and one of the nicest ROBERT pieces I've seen. ('Robert' was Robert Levy who, at one time, worked for Miriam Haskell and in 1949, founded Robert Originals, making dramatic jewelry for the theatrical and Hollywood trade. He was a bit theatrical himself, often playing the violin while his customers shopped in his showroom.) You'll love this fabulous owl brooch!
