Old Original 1940 Cast Iron DONKEY Bottle Opener

NOT A REPRO...this original 1940 cast iron donkey bottle opener was sold during the political campaign between Franklin Roosevelt and Wendell Willkie. (There were Democratic donkeys and Republican elephants). Never used, this came out of an old Times Square souvenir store whose contents we bought 40 years ago. Donkey has a couple of nicks to the paint...from years of rubbing against all those Republican elephants in the drawer they were stored in. Measures 3 inches. Overall in excellent condition.
