Many hours of hand-work went into this cross-stitch quilt! Aqua cross-stitches in two different patterns cover the white squares on the top with a border around and coordinating patterns on the sides. All four edges are finished in 'prairie points', with 4" fringe on three sides (no fringe on head-end). Back is plain white. It is hand-quilted and in very good condition. Hand-tied with wool yarn, this natural wool-batting comforter is covered with multi-colored scrap fabric triangles on the top and blue plaid flannel on the back. It measures 88" x 70 1/2" and is pictured on a full-size bed. The fabric is in good condition with a few spots and slight staining on edge, but overall it is in very good condition for a textile of this age. It has NOT been laundered. Suggested cleaning by experienced antique textile cleaner, if desired.
