Circa 1966 , Williamsburg ART OF COOKERY or, Acomplifb'd Gentlewoman's COMPANION.
This smallish volume was published in 1966 --fifteenth printing since 1938....but the real first book of recipes was original to 1742 !!
The recipes are written in Olde' English Style...writing and has the f's in place of the s's and other of those old well known tranferal of -old and modern day letters in english !
About 7 inches long and 4 1/4 inches across.

Highly sought book by Ralph Conner , a pen name for Charles William Gorden.
There are several editions of this book....but I believe this is the earliest edition circa 1897. This edition of the book was printed before the use of pages for dates of publishing or Library of Congress info. Of course --this book was printed in Canada....which furthers difficulties with identification knowledge.
