Vintage Irish Blackhtorn Walking Stick.
Brown color finish.
34 Inches long
Small end 2 1/2 inches circumference
Top 3 3/4 inches circumference
Top of handle 1 inch.
Handle shows some sign of wear on finish from use.
Handle shows small U shaped crack and anoher very small hairline from the very top of handle.
Oversize in length but less than 1 pound weight with out shipping container.

Very collectible cookie jar .
Made in Japan.
Older --but true age unknown
This cookie jar is made to be some sort of whimsical animal--almost like a beaver.
Its sweet upturned eyes and what appears to be a carrot gives a gentle humor to itself.
Painted in Primary colors of yellow with reds and black and blues highlights.
Ceramic composition.
Stands aprox. 9 inches high.
Some loss of paint
Small crack on side.

Nicely carved Japanese man holding a very large fish probably a Carp.
(White spots appearing in photo are flashback not physically on this piece )
This statue is made of wood....and is wonderfully carved by hand...though base may be machine cut.
I am not sure of the exact wood used--but it is to a type of hard wood...and carved out of one solid piece .
In the Asian world --this man and his fish have a special meaning to life...once told to me ---but now forgotten.
