Highly sought book by Ralph Conner , a pen name for Charles William Gorden. There are several editions of this book....but I believe this is the earliest edition circa 1897. This edition of the book was printed before the use of pages for dates of publishing or Library of Congress info. Of course --this book was printed in Canada....which furthers difficulties with identification knowledge.
