Highly sought book by Ralph Conner , a pen name for Charles William Gorden. There are several editions of this book....but I believe this is the earliest edition circa 1897. This edition of the book was printed before the use of pages for dates of publishing or Library of Congress info. Of course --this book was printed in Canada....which furthers difficulties with identification knowledge. Through my research--I believe this book was written when the author was about 37 years old. He has written several other books as well --all concerning Canadian matters. In this case religion and church matters in Canada. Considering the age--this volume is in Very Good condition.I do not believe this volume ever had a dust jacket. The outside cloth jacket is in very good condition with a few very dim , barely seen and small marks on the front,and similar condition on the back. The bottom of the spine has a small area of wear.The book has a slight shift to the right--again barely noticeable. Inside first unnumbered page has the name Julius F. Stilgeubaurn. All other pages are clean , clear and undamaged in any way what so ever. Quite a collectors volume ! Please send zip or country for up to the minute shipping.
