TOM and JERRY PUNCH BOWL SET

Verifiable 1930's ( aprox. 80 years of age ) TOM & JERRY PUNCH BOWL SET. This set was made by and backstamped to the UNIVERSAL-CAMBRIDGE NATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OPERATIVE POTTER. Very popular for the yule tide partys and New Years Gatherings. Usually filled with a special punch known after the older drink and name sake Tom & Jerry---- (considered English based ) ! This particular set is a early one. It is made of a glistening sparkly gold like and white glaze infusion. A GOLD line encompasses the top outer lip. In short --it is a beauty to behold. It has crazing on the finish --but no cracks nor chips. Inside of the bowl has some discoloration but not at least to me ugly or distasteful. More so like its proof to having been loved and used and cared for over many , many , many years. The set comes with 7 cups. All of which are in great condition except for one. I believe these cups were made with "set on " handles. One cups handle looks like it either was not set on well---or may have been broken and reset. I cannot tell which it is. It is in solid usable state as is. The bowl is 10 1/4 inches across the top opening and 31 1/2 in circumference. The cups are aprox. 3 inches tall...and 10 inches in circumference.
