We are not sure who this beautiful horse is, or which race he ran. He was #3, and it also shows a painting of the jockey on the horse in the lower left portion of the painting. Signed by the artist, Davidson and dated '93. On the back some one had written "Sea Hero? 1993 Kentucky Derby winner". It looks ike they weren't sure either. lol. This wonderful oil on canvas sofa size painting is signed by well known New York artist Andrew Stasky 1930-1989. Though this is one of his oil paintings, he did mostly water colors. Corresponding with family, they believe this is one of his early pieces possibly done in his college days in the 1950's, and was thought to once hang in the grandmothers home.
