Catalog: Collector Plates

A great plate all hand decorated from Greece with the legendary Cerberus. Measures 6" in diameter. According to Greek Mythology, KERBEROS (or Cerberus) was the gigantic hound which guarded the gates of Haides. He was posted to prevent ghosts of the dead from leaving the underworld. Perfect condition, with no chips or cracks. Back says "Hand Made by Neofitoy Keramik Fauraki-Rodos". Hole in back to insert string for hanging plate.

Crystal plate with frosted Christmas angel watching over the baby Jesus. Measures 8.5 in diameter. This plate was designed exclusivley for Avon. Raised stars decorate the rim of the plate, and the center is beautifully adorned with a frosted relief of a guardian angel looking over the baby Jesus in his manger. Bottom Reads M.I. Hummel 1996 Goebel. No damages and is in excellent condition. There is no box.

Porsgrund Norway, The Three Wise Men Christmas Plate manufactured by Porsgrund China in Norway circa 1969. This cobalt blue and white limited edition plate measures 7" diameter. This is a beautiful collector plate by artist Lena Liu titled "The Ruby-throated Hummingbird" which is the first issue in the Lena Liu Hummingbird Treasury Collection. This porcelain plate is dated 1992. It measures 7 3/4" in diameter. There is a quote from Lena on the back of the plate "An elfin flyer in my garden at dawn. What a cheerful sight!"
