These great old figural salt and pepper shakers are in the form of an Indian Chief and his Squaw woman. They are hand painted in bright orange, blue, green black, to contrast very well with the brown of their skin. Very good detail. They stand 3 1/4" tall 1 3/4" wide and the condition is very good, with no chips or cracks, and paint being 95% or better. Both corks intact, but one cork is inside the chief.

Awesome vintage glazed ceramic cookie jar in the shape of a barrel or keg. Marked Japan. Decorated with grapes . Jar rests tilted onto logs that are also decorated with grapes, but all one piece. Measures 7 1/2" tall and is in perfect condition. Glazed inside too. Light crazing.

Pre World War II. It was made by Maruhon in Japan. Some refer to it as cottage ware. Replacements lists this pattern as Maw 1. The color is cream and is decorated with a lovely yellow flower on the lid. I believe this is for Jams or jelly, as most pieces of this I'v seen are tea and breakfast related. This type of toothpick holder is known as Mercury Glass. It is rather light in weight. There are 3 applied hand blown glass feet with each having a slightly ball-tipped end. Circa 1850-1900. Measuring 2 1/4" tall. CONDITION : There are no chips or cracks to the glass. The mercury is in wonderful condition, especially considering its age, with no missing or dark spots.
