Beautiful mid 20th Century hand-cut crystal from behind the wall. The East German government owned the Imperlux Company who made this striking, deep ashtray with hand cut, full lead crystal. Upper portion is a smoky amber, and the pedestal part is clear crystal. All of the edges are beveled to prevent chiggers. Thick, heavy 1/2" walls of crystal and thicker in some areas. Nice old hand painted dish appears to be a leaf or lily pad with a pipe laying on it. Bowl of pipe is hollow (maybe to hold matches or pipe lighter. Measures 4 1/2" x 5 1/2". No marking but nicely hand made with lots of detailing on the leaf.No chips or cracks. Perfect!

Unusual hand painted porcelain souvenir ashtray with a signature of Robert Mayokok. Robert Mayokok was a native Eskimo artist who was known for his scenes of life in the Arctic Circle.
