This oil painting on canvas measures 20" x 16" and is framed. Painted by artist Mildred Ford who is famous for her desert art scapes paintings of Arizona and surrounding areas. Well know for her oil paintings with their pallette knife texture and the colors. She retired in 1981. This one is titled "Sedona Desert- Another fine Day" and is signed in the lower left. Amazing old chinese covered vase, or ginger jar, in the rose medallion pattern. Very ornate with gold guilt. Circa late 1800's, early 1900's era. Measures 14" tall, marked on the bottom (see pic) and is in perfect condition.

A rare and unusual item from the Belgian Congo 1900-1920's era. Provenence states this was given in 1935 to the owner from a tenant who had lived in the Belgian Congo from 1900-1920. Entirely hand carved on an elephant tusk. Tribal African native dancers, and palm trees are carved around the entire piece. This wonderful oil on canvas sofa size painting is signed by well known New York artist Andrew Stasky 1930-1989. Though this is one of his oil paintings, he did mostly water colors. Corresponding with family, they believe this is one of his early pieces possibly done in his college days in the 1950's, and was thought to once hang in the grandmothers home. This is a beautifully illustrated book of nursery rhymes and stories from Japan. One of the, My Travelship books published by The Book House for Children in Chicago. Translated by Olive Beaupre' Miller and beautifully illustrated by Katherine Sturges.
