This is a stunning vintage fine china dish featuring hand painted Love story or courting couple (A bit of Serenity)Shows various scenes of a couple's courtship from the meeting, serenade, the kiss, and the walk home.Fragonard medallions all around each scene Each scene is seperated and accented with intricate lattice fleur-de-lis gold etching and decoration, with raised dots in gold. Very old allover pattern of pink or red large floral chintz pattern with peacocks. The cup has the pea hen amd the saucer has the peacock. No chips, cracks or repairs. However this was a favorite of someone's long ago and there is crazing insde of the cup and light staining from the coffee or tea. This is an over sized set. Saucer measures 7" and the cup has a diameter of 4 3/4 and is 2 3/4" deep...
