Set of little hand made dolls from Guatemala is a small balsa type wood box. Each little doll measures 1" to 1 1/2" tall. Made of paper mache, fabric and string. There are 6. Instructions & history included. Old Indian story from Guatemala teaches that when you have troubles, to share them with your dolls. 1 doll for each trouble. At night before sleep, tell each doll, and while you sleep the doll will work out and solve your trouble. Perfect condition and complete.
I'm not sure of the pattern name or maker. This reminds you of Ucagco's Roosters and roses pattern. The center design is of happy peasant style people with hand painted pink roses, vines and a yellow band. Decorated inside and out. Large bowl measures 10" in diameter and is 3 3/4" deep and is in perfect condition. There are four salad bowls,two are perfect, and the other two have a stress crack to one degree or the other that are not very noticeable due to all the busy designs...

A wonderful folk art whistle or flute from central America or Mexico regions. Made of hand painted, hand formed clay. Man in a jaguar costume. No chips, or repairs. Has 6 holes. Measures about 4" long and is 4 3/4" tall. Ancient Aztecs, as early as the 12 century A.D., created whistles and flutes out of clay. Artisans also used wood and bamboo but clay had a special significance. To the Aztecs, clay represented the singing mother earth...
Nice Mexican folk art flute made of clay and all hand painted. Four Mexican senorita's, each with a hole in their back and one large blow hole on the bottom. No damages other than some very minor flaking on some of the paint on one of the hats. Measures 5" long and is 4 1/2" tall. No signature or anything, and I have no idea of the age. A great folk art piece for your collection.
