Awesome Zimbabwe Africa Carving was presented to the missionary for a gift before she left. The missionary had spent a lot of time with this particular tribe, and this was a going away present of sorts and a token of their mutual friendships. I just wish she had passed on the name of the tribe. We do know it is from Zimbabwe. Signed by the artist P. Mwila 1999. Wonderful condition with no damages. There are 6 African native figures and a dog in a circle under the hut...

Unusual item for me to have! This blow gun come from the Amazon and is complete with the carrier with strap that holds the long thin darts for the gun. The round ball that is atteched, holds the wadding they use to pack the darts into the gun. Original wadding and darts come with the set. Made of bamboo. A neat Hawaiian tiki statue carved from wood, with a nice varnished finish. I think this is a Happiness tiki, just look at that smile! Measures 10 1/4" tall. Excellent with no scratches but a tiny tip of one toe is chipped (looks to have been done before it was stained and varnished though) Maybe you can see it in the picture. Very nice old hand crafted wood smoker from Germany. Unfortunately she had lost his tag, but you can tell he is German by his craftsmanship. He measures 6 1/4" tall and is perfect. He carries an evergreen tree and a sack on his back. Body area lifts off so you can place an incense cone inside and the smoke will come out of his mouth so he appears to smoke. Excellent condition, no fading or flaking of paint.

Nice Mexican folk art flute made of clay and all hand painted. Four Mexican senorita's, each with a hole in their back and one large blow hole on the bottom. No damages other than some very minor flaking on some of the paint on one of the hats. Measures 5" long and is 4 1/2" tall. No signature or anything, and I have no idea of the age. A great folk art piece for your collection.

A wonderful folk art whistle or flute from central America or Mexico regions. Made of hand painted, hand formed clay. Man in a jaguar costume. No chips, or repairs. Has 6 holes. Measures about 4" long and is 4 3/4" tall. Ancient Aztecs, as early as the 12 century A.D., created whistles and flutes out of clay. Artisans also used wood and bamboo but clay had a special significance. To the Aztecs, clay represented the singing mother earth...
