A neat Hawaiian tiki statue carved from wood, with a nice varnished finish. I think this is a Happiness tiki, just look at that smile! Measures 10 1/4" tall. Excellent with no scratches but a tiny tip of one toe is chipped (looks to have been done before it was stained and varnished though) Maybe you can see it in the picture. Awesome Zimbabwe Africa Carving was presented to the missionary for a gift before she left. The missionary had spent a lot of time with this particular tribe, and this was a going away present of sorts and a token of their mutual friendships. I just wish she had passed on the name of the tribe. We do know it is from Zimbabwe. Signed by the artist P. Mwila 1999. Wonderful condition with no damages. I'm not sure of the pattern name or maker. This reminds you of Ucagco's Roosters and roses pattern. The center design is of happy peasant style people with hand painted pink roses, vines and a yellow band. Decorated inside and out. Large bowl measures 10" in diameter and is 3 3/4" deep and is in perfect condition. There are four salad bowls,two are perfect, and the other two have a stress crack to one degree or the other that are not very noticeable due to all the busy designs...
