VINTAGE STERLING SILVER BROOCH, c. 1930s Taxco Mexico. Repousse sunflower or button with wonderful depth; oxidized areas adds to the dramatic effect. All hand made in 980 Silver, with an old-style C-clasp. Marked with the conjoined raised AN, TAXCO, 980. Measures 1-1/2" . Very Good Condition with a couple of faint dimples. Senor Navarrete, a young Silversmith from Igaula, was hired by Spratling to teach him and his apprentices silver work for his new formed shop, de Las Delicias in Taxco.He was the first mastersmith at Spradling's workshop and also worked as an independant. A wonderful piece of Mexican silver.
