Otagiri ceramic bluebird ivy cottage tea pot

Adorable collectible Otagiri haaand painted glazed ceramic teapot. Thatched cottage with Ivy and a textured relief molded design with a blue bird in it's nest. The entire teapot is made to look like a thatched cottage from a tree trunk with a little blue bird nestled in a knot hole. Ivy encirles the cottage with tendrils curling around the handle which has a 'thumb notch' for comfort. Creamy off-white and accented with hand-painted greens (ivy). Another bluebird sits on the lid as a finial. Marked OTAGIRI Judith Ann Griffith Japan, and also has the original sticker. Measures 8 1/4" tall and is in wonderful condition with no damages!
