One of four authentic, guaranteed original vintage prints done by Eugene Savage depicting Historical Hawaiian events. Savage was commisioned by Matson Navigation Company to do these for The S.S. Lurline and other ocean Liners that made trips from the mainland to Hawaii and the Phillipines in the 1940's. These prints I understand were purchased on the S.S. Lurline on one of her trips between Hawaii and the Philippines in the 1940's and have been packed away, and found at an estate here until recently. The prints measure 21"X13 1/2" each including a 1 3/8" border on the bottom and a 5/8" border on the top. Upon research I have found this one is titled Pomp and Circumstance. Showing A King and his people in celebration to honor their leader, and the gifts they bring to honor him. Signed E.Savage.These have the faint crease line where they would have been used for the menus. These have never been used as menus, as there is NO printing on the back sides and have NEVER been folded. There are no tears or stains and are in pristine condition! Most of these have subject matter pertaining to Hawaii's historical background or Hawaii's Makahiki (Hawaiian New Year Festival). Bright vivid coloring, as they have been stored in a chest since the 40's. Ready to frame and enjoy. I will be listing three others by Eugene Savage. Eugene Savage 1883-1978
