Vintage Paula figurine The Single girl's evening Prayer

" The Single Girls Evening Prayer" is the caption on this vintage Paula figurine. Her prayer reads: "Now I lay me down to sleep. I wish I had a man for keeps. Should there be a man beneath my bed. I hope he heard each word I said." Popular in the 1970's, these adorably tacky statues made their way into the hearts of many collectors. These are similar to the Russ W Berries figurines in many ways with one essential difference: Paula figurines are made of wood then coated with a thin plastic resin. The bottoms reveal the natural wood. No felt on the bottom of this one. This one is stamped, dated 1972 W-308 and measures 4" tall. This Girl kneels beside her bed in desperate prayer.
