This is a RARE figurine, made of fine porcelain, sculpted by Pamela du Boulay for the Franklin Mint. Called the Red Pony, from John Steinbeck's novel of the same name. It is every bit as good a quality as Hagen Renaker.Exceptional detailing. All of Pamela's horse figurines are fabulous, with incredible sharp detailing. Mint condition, no chips or repairs. This horse looks rather Arabian to me, with a pretty dished face, and fine features. It is tall, at 9 1/2" high X 8" long. All the details of the figurine are on the bottom of the base, including "fine porcelain 1987 Franklin Mint", artists name, John Steinbeck name etc. No paaperwork or box.
