Von Schierholz Dresden covered cherub dish
Von Schierholz Dresden Porcelain Covered Footed Bowl. This Dresden Germany Decorative bowl is even lovlier than photos show. The Cherub on top sits amongst a lovely pastel blue applied flora. The reticulated iolets cuttings on the porcelain is highlighted with hand painted gold accents on each. The design is German. The full bodied Cherub is adorable as he sits posed in a crawing position on the top of the lid. A lovely Covered Bowl with iolets and three decorative feet also with gold accents. This is an exceptional antique porcelain Covered Bowl, superbly crafted with a latticed body. The Bowl features an ornate design of a cherub or cupid surrounded by pasted blue colored applied flowers. This stunning decorative accent is a fine piece of Dresden porcelain and dates to circa 1900. email me for a photo of the bottom marking, if you like. Measures 7 1/2" tall with the lid on. Bowl diameter is 6 1/2". Great condition, and good gold with no wear, no chips, cracks or hairlines, but does have it's flaws.
Cherub's head has been repaired nicely, and there is One petal broken off a flower on the back side. Feel free to email me if you would like to see more pictures.
Von Schierholz porcelain dates from around 1817.
I have NO idea of the age.
