A red rooster or maybe a hen, chicken cookie jar was handcrafted and handpainted in Japan by Otagiri OMC. Otagiri products were distributed to upscale department stores and gift shops for sale to discriminating shoppers. The cookie jar is 9 3/4 inches tall and 10 inches long. It is date stamped and trademarked on the bottom. This cookie jar is in excellent vintage condition. Although the cookie jar was more abundant a few years ago, it has become a scarce find now. This cookie jar will delight any Otagiri collector - or anyone who has a rooster or farm-themed decor.
