Occupied Japan American Beauty demitasse teacup saucer

Beautiful demitasse Tea cup with pedestal foot and fancy handle with matching saucer from American Beauty, produced in Occupied Japan. The set depicts a relief design of leaves and tendrils in gold, with burgundy accents on the leaves, all on a pale yellow background with a fair amount of gold throughout. The OD of the top of the tea cup is 2 7/8" while the OD of the saucer measures 4 3/4" The height of the set is 2 1/4". THe set is pristine and looks to have been cabinet kept throughout the years.
