Stouffer Studios Limoges rasberries cabinet plate signed Wenzel Pfohl

An exquisite one-of-a-kind Antique Bavarian fine Porcelain cabinet plate hand painted and signed by the talented 19th/ & Early 20th Century Master Artist, Wenzel Pfohl. The superbly executed rasberries hanging from the vine are painted against a background of varigated foliage in hues of sage green, gold, yellow, and browns. Rich gold gilding beautifully frames the rim.Measures 7 1/8" in diameter. Marked Hand Painted Stouffer Limoges France. Signed and is in pristine condition. Brief Biography ~ Wenzel Pfohl who was born in Austria in 1859, came to the U.S. in 1905 and settled in Chicago where he found work as a professional porcelain artist at the Stouffer Studio, White's Art Studio, and E.W. Donath Studio where he produced outstanding realism florals ~ however, he was especially known for his well rendered figures and portraits. You can find his exquiste paintings on google search, which have sold for thousands. Pfohl continued painting at the Donath Studio until his death in 1928. W. Pfohl is listed in the "Collector's Encyclopedia of Pickard China" Pfohl's porcelain art is seldom found, which makes his works rare and highly collectible. This little masterpiece is in Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, flakes or repairs.
