Holt Howard Madonna and child head vase candle holder

This Madonna and child head vase measures 5 1/2" tall.It is marked Holt Howard copydate 1959. She is an unusual vase, being she has two small back openings instead of the one large open area. (see photo). I think she is actually a candle holder. She is a creamy white matte glazed pottery. She is in wonderful condition other than a small chip on her scarf.
