Fenton blue satin bicentennial plate In God we trust
A wonderful 8 1/4" Fenton Bicentennial plate. The front of this plate has George Washington kneeling in prayer. The title to this plate is "In God We Trust". These plates were issued in January 1976. The back of the plate says "Official United States Of America Bicentennial Commemorative Project Of The General Federation Of Women's Clubs". "Once declared, Independence had yet to be won. At Valley Forge during the bitter cold winter of 1777 and 1778, General George Washington and his troops placed their trust in their Creator, then successfully pitted their courage against seemingly overwhelming odd." The Fenton mark is on the back also. This plate is number 3 in a series of four. The front of the page has a beautiful trim around the edge with a pattern containing stars. The plate is a blue satin glass. The plate has the dates 1776-1976 on the outside under the trim. This is in very good shape I can't find any chips or cracks on it, and it looks perfect. There is no box. I will be listing the other three.
