Vintage N Pajarito Mexican pottery vase

Vintage authentic hand painted Mexican pottery vase by Nicaso Pajarito Gonzalez of Mexico. Vase measures 6" tall. This unfortunately has a large chip on the underside of the lip edge. Tiny bit of flaking to some of the decorative paint, but nothing severe. Nicasio's pottery has garnered many awards all over the world for his work. His work is Mexican folk art at its best! He is also a featured artist in the book "Great Masters of Mexican Folk Art". Signed on the bottom N Pajarito. Barro Canelo (Cinnamon Colored Pottery) - Barro Canelo, or Cinnamon Clay, is named for its authentic cinnamon color derived from the dirt found locally in the Mexican State of Jalisco. Senor Nicasio Pajarito along with his son Zenon and his daughter Isabel have been crafting pottery utilizing this technique for more than 45 years. These pieces are truly one of a kind that reflect the essence of the famous Pajarito family of Tonala, Mexico.
