For sale is a fine antique French opaline glass scent bottle. The bottle stands about 9 inches tall with the stopper and is 3 1/2 inches wide. The body is opaque, with a satin surface. The highlights and rims are gilded as shown. The pontil is smoothed but not polished. The tip of the stopper is marked "16" and the base is marked "17", significance unknown.
Condition on the bottle is quite good. There is some wear to the gilding, but that is about it. The tip of the stopper has some tiny chips but appears to be the original length. A fine old piece of glass!
