Celluloid "Tortoise Shell" Barrette

Here is a nice barrette that is made of celluloid in an imitation tortoise shell with filigree work.These barrettes were made for use in long hair and were very popular from the 1920's-40's.The barrette measures 5 1/4" x 2".The overall condition is very good.A nice example for your collection.
