American Artist, Lea , gives this old apple basket a new life as a “sewing basket” by customized art work. Using acrylic paints, sewing items like, scissors, thread, yarn and a tape measure, are hand-painted on a bright red background with orange border. The basket is entitled, “Life’s Sew Wonderful”. This wonderful lined wood handbag from the early 1960's has an all-over color of avocado, and around the entire piece the artist used decoupage to show Savannah style row houses. Round brass feet on the bottom, brass hinges, clasp and mounting for the faux tortoise shell handle. It can be so many ways; decorative purposes, a neat sewing basket and a really retro look handbag.

This fabulous Russian, "Soviet Union" folk Art pin cushion is made of cloth, flax and hard stuffed with straw. Her costume is beige, with red & black accents. Her top is burgundy with a plaid "skirt" Her clothes have yellowed from age. At the top near her neck are tiny little holes but for her age she is in excellent overall condition. Sewn label on bottom, "Made in Soviet Union".
