This charming hand-painted hinged box can be hung or set on a table. It dates from the 1940's and was made in the northern province of the Netherlands, Friesland. The scene depicts a family wearing ice skates and preparing to enjoy a family afternoon. Delicate floral designs grace all but the bottom and back of this lovely piece.
