"General Billycock's Pigs" by Joan Balfour Payne is a story, which takes place in Tennessee soon after the America Revolution. This book was part of the Weekly Reader Children’s Book Club, Intermediate Level Reader. It has a bit of Mountain folk lore and legends and is just a delightful read.
