This charming hand-painted hinged box from Estonia shows a young farm girl bending down to pet he cat while a rooster waits for his turn. Dominant colors are blue, green, red and terra cotta. On all four sides are painted green pine trees on a blue background. Light over scratches on lid but for an old folk art piece it is a treasure.
