Hand thrown pottery vase in shades of brown glaze airbrushed over hand-cut stencil design of abstract bird. There is a “Native American” look to it. Incised mark on base is a “G” inside an elongated triangle. From a collection that included many pieces of pottery created in the techniques taught by Charles Counts at his Rising Fawn Pottery, Georgia in the late 1970 – 80’s. Counts taught pottery for many years before passing away in 2000 and influenced many potters, especially through out the southeast United States.
