This exquisite pottery plate of a Great Crested Grebe in its natural habitat, a marsh, was made by Marazion Pottery, Cornwall, England. This hanging piece is painted and glazed in a wonderful blue with the natural white clay showing through. This pottery company, started by George Nash and Heather Oates, closed in 1981 and the pieces made are becoming more and more difficult to locate, especially in the US. Stamped with the “Marazion” trademark and artist initials
