Rex Goldtone & mesh loose powder vanity case enamel

Excellent goldtone mesh compact by Rex Fifth Avenue! Measures almost 3 inches in diameter. The one side is gold mesh similar to the famed Whiting and Davis meshwork and the other side is a tapestry with muted flowers and Champlere` green enamel with gold swirls design. The mirror inside has 3 small areas around edge that are discolored and what appears to be pitting, you can still see in it great, has the the original mesh powder screen and puff are present. There is minimal wear on outside. This great piece can be seen on page 88 of the collector's encyclopedia of compacts by Laura Mueller. 78A great piece to add to your collection.
