This baby fork and food pusher form a matched set. The pattern is Old French, made by Gorham, and it dates from the early 20th century. These are early, authentic pieces, not later adaptations. Each of the two items is engraved "ABB" in script. The fork is 4 3/8" long, while the pusher is 3 1/8" long with a blade that is 2" wide. An appealing item in its own right, this mug holds added interest because it was a presentation piece in a baby contest. It was made by Gorham and is identified as item number A112. It first appears in an 1898 catalog (see image 3) and must have remained popular as this is dated 1909. The pattern on this 4 1/4" long baby spoon is Napoleon by International. It features a shield and wreath motif. The handle has beveled edges and a central rib down the backside. The piece is in excellent condition and is without a monogram or removal. Marks are the International emblem and the word Sterling.

At 6 1/4" long, this knife is quite diminutive and may have been part of a youth or traveling set. It was made by George Unite in Birmingham, England in 1852, according to the readily legible stamps on the blade. While such mother-of-pearl handle knives characteristically have silver-plated blades, this one is solid sterling, as is the ferrule, or collar, where the handle and blade join.
