These two sterling teaspoons are both Art Nouveau in style and date from early in the 20th century. The first is Shiebler's Fiorito. It measures 5 7/8" long and is relatively weighty at 1.0 T. oz. It has a delicate script "JM" monogram. It is in immaculate condition and is marked with the Shiebler emblem, Sterling, and "Patented May 13 - 02." Apparently one of the more popular souvenir spoons of the 1893 Columbian Exposition, this piece is extremely detailed, finely rendered, and in mint, completely wear free, condition. The portraiture includes every bit of iconography that could possibly be included. The subjects become studies in themselves upon close examination. Larger than demitasses and smaller than teaspoons, these two items are coffee or five o'clock spoons. The St. Cloud measures 4 5/16" long and is relatively heavy. It is without a monogram or removal, is in immaculate condition, and has a brilliant gold wash finish on both sides of the bowl. The No. 14 spoon measures 4" long and has an overall satin matte finish. The design is Moorish in style. It also is without a monogram or removal and in mint condition.
