Measuring 5 1/2" long and weighing 1.2 T. oz., this sterling silver cream ladle is an old example of Gorham's "Chantilly." It is is flawless condition and without a monogram or removal. There is no polishing wear and the finish is lustrous. The lobed bowl has flanged shoulders and has a bright gold wash finish on the interior. Marks are the Gorham lion, anchor, G, "Sterling," and "Pat. 1895."

This 5 1/16" long, just under .6 T. oz., egg spoon is fully marked for sterling (seated Britannia), Dublin, 1834, and with a maker's mark of "PW" for Peter Weeks whose dates correspond with the piece. It has an "eagle with upraised wings" crest on the front, and the initials "J.D" inscribed at the join with the bowl on the reverse. It is in very good condition. This pair of Sterling tongs was made by Thomas Sewell of Newcastle, England in 1852. They are fully stamped with a lion, three castle shield, Queen's head, and date letter "N," and also have the leopard's head mark of London. Presumably they were made in one city and intended to retail in another. They measure 5 1/2" long and weigh approximately 1.2 T. oz. They are plain with beveled edges, and have cup grips. This 6" long, modest weight, teaspoon in Gorham's classical motif "Medallion" is in exceptionally fine condition. The high relief, male warrior figure has been spared polishing wear; it retains sharp, clear detail. The bowl is even, with a nicely rounded tip, and free of burrs or dimples. The finish is lustrous.
