These six, matching, 4 5/8" long, sterling silver coffee spoons bear maker's stamps for Ann, Peter and William Bateman, and the date letter "E" for 1801. They are Old English style, with tipt backs and exposed drops. They have had monogram removals, but this is not evident as the surface where the monograms were is flat. Tiffany's Vine was produced in many motifs. This 6" long, sterling sugar spoon is the "gourd" variant. It has a ruffled edge bowl in a style that is idiomatic to Tiffany. In this instance, the bowl retains traces of an original gold wash. The reverse has an Art Nouveau style, script "KLP" monogram. The condition is excellent. The pattern remains well defined, and the form is flawless.
