This sterling food pusher is fully hallmarkd for Sheffield, England's Mappin & Webb Company, and with a date letter for 1929. There is an additional stamp set in a small rectangle located above the primary hallmarks but this is not easily identifiable. The piece is large by American standards, measuring 3" overall, with the actual pusher measuring 1 15/16" wide and 1 7/8" at the highest. The loop through which the finger fits is approximately 1 1/4" in diameter, and the weight is a relatively heavy .9 T. oz. The plain band that comprises the handle has bright cut borders and is moderately wide. The blade is curved and canted backward. There is no monogram or inscription or removal of same. The came is flawless, showing no signs of wear and having an especially fine finish.
