Watson "Lily" Art Nouveau Sterling Sugar Spoon
$ 45
Dating from 1902, Watson's "Lily" is a markedly successful interpretation of a popular Art Nouveau floral theme. It shows intricate, high relief design detail, clearly evidencing, for example, the stamen of the blossoms and the finely stippled background surrounding the flowers and leaves. This original, 5 1/2" long, .7 T. oz., sugar spoon is a superb example of the pattern. It is absent any visible wear, and without a monogram or removal. The backside has the Mechanics pennant emblem used by Watson and the word "Sterling."
