Original Unger Bros. "Passaic" Sterling Butter Pick

This piece is a fully authentic, original butter pick, not one made up or customized as many examples in the marketplace today are. The piece is 6 1/2" long and relatively heavy at more than .7 T. oz. The pattern is "Passaic," dating from the turn of the 20th century. Employing complex scroll and flower elements, it suggests the Art Nouveau style for which the Unger firm became exceptionally noteworthy. It has a twist end with a spear tip. It is in flawless condition and without a monogram or removal. Marks are the Unger entwined "UB" emblem which appears on either end of the words "Sterling" and "925 Fine."
