Measuring 6" across, standing 1 1/2" high, and weighing approximately 2.9 T. oz., this sterling silver dish is model number 510 made by Meriden Britannia and retailed by W. Wattles & Sons of Pittsburgh, as indicated by the marks on the underside.
The style is decidedly Art Nouveau with a date c. 1900.
The pattern is a flowing, highly articulated, lily motif. A popular floral subject, this lily would be compatible with flatware of the same design such as produced by Whiting, "Frontenac" by International, and other makers.
This has a script "MSL" (?) monogram in the interior center.
It is in very fine condition. The detail remains well-defined and free of polishing wear. There is one shallow crease in the base, otherwise it is free of dents or bends. The finish is bright and even.
